Canon History:
Claudio is The Crowing, a Savior or Destroyer of the Amory Universe, a grouping of 78 planets held together by the Keywork, an energy built up of spirits and souls of other beings from the past. (The Crowing and the universe is a imagining of the Writing Writer who wrote the universe to fix his own problems with his life and his love life. This aspect gets really god damn confusing and doesn’t come into the story until much later, so I’m not focusing on that, as Claudio wouldn’t know and it’s not important to his story as a character.)

A fast overview:
Claudio was a 16 year old boy (almost 17) with an awkward but normal life. He got picked on in school but had the most beautiful girlfriend in all the worlds. He had a great family with both mother and father, an older sister and two younger siblings. He honestly couldn’t complain (well he could but there was no reason to) for most his life.

Then his parents killed the twins with poison and bashed his older sisters head in, believing that they had to kill all their children in order to save the planets and the Keywork. They were tricked into this (told that their children carried a Virus called MonStar that would destroy everyone in the 78) of course, as they did actually love their children and had a very hard time doing it. Claudio was late home though and they were taken away before he could get back. When he returned? He walked into a broken home, his sister's body on the ground, bleeding. While holding her in grief, something happened; his hands glowed and she returned to life for a moment. Telling him what she last remembered and then, seeing a creature about to attack, she cried for her brother to run, dropping yet again, dead.

He was attacked by an Onstintine Priest, sharp claws digging into his face leaving him a nice scar to one side. He found out then that he could go invisible and intangible, ducking out of the house and running away. From this point he takes off, running away. He leaves a suicide style note to Newo, his girlfriend, telling her that by time she reads it he should be dead. He catched a trash ship off planet, and leaves for elsewhere to go into hiding. He lands at a slave camp for unregistered aliens, starting to blend in with them, but his thieving antics upset some of the Starrs and one asks him to leave before they get in trouble.

It’s at this point that he’s pulled from here to another place. While leaving the camp after begging not to be left alone, he wandered. Walking away from it all, only to be caught in Pull and taken to Siren’s Port, a small city island that contains people with strange powers. A rip in the Core caused people to appear from other universes and timelines, bringing them together as outcasts in this already outcast field city.

Other Game Info:
Siren’s Port was a corrupt city of sin, slave trade, drugs, scientific experiments, foul politics and most frightening, a nightly darkness that seeped out over the world, brought creatures out at night, and pretty much made life hell. People who were pulled to this island were called Newcomers and were pretty much disliked for the simple fact that the island didn't need MORE overpowered freaks in it. Every person on the island holds some form of super power, most likely caused by the Core giving it to them.

Claudio has around four to four and a half years of history built up in this place. He was pulled to Port after losing everything that he knew. He had sudden new powers, a gun, and no direction. The first person he ran into was Jubilee (X-men comics 616) who lead him down to more stealing, shoplifting and bad acts. She ended up being like his older sister he lost, so he was pretty attached. This is also where he started using his powers a lot more. Going invisible, sneaking into places, taking what he or others needed. He did get caught at one point, and because of that he got sold into Slavery that... didn’t go well.

The Slavery thing never lasted, but one Hunter Spencer kept trying to keep the boy as part of a Big Game hunt (humans and metahumans hunted for fun in the Hunting Grounds). He has been a captive of Spencers at least two times on the hunting grounds, and once for personal reasons. He has never been caught in properly papered slavery for long however.

He’s got a wrap sheet as long as his arm with the local SPPD. He’s caused trouble for both sides of the corrupt world (SERO and AGI), and he’s managed to keep out of both sides job wise. He has worked for for the local Stage and Theatre Troupe doing props, painting and playing invisible during stage changes. His first job was as Greeter at the Tower apartments where the Newcomers show up, helping them get inside at night and away from monsters, or just helping them know where they were. Then there was painting murals on small mini malls in an attempt to make the place nicer looking. He’s also worked other small odd jobs here and there, and he’s gone to Bartending School and worked for his “Sister”, Jinx, and her night club. He almost worked for an engineering company but at the time it was aligned with another company he refused to be apart of.

In general, he’s very good at hard work and in this world he did a lot of it. But he also had a lot of lazy moments. He came here as a 16 year old boy, almost 17, going about the place without going to school. So really, he has very little education backing him up other then some high school and bartending now.

There have been incidents that have taken his or others lives, a few times. This world had a ‘reset’ of sorts, bringing a person back because the Core needed them. His first death was painfully gruesome, having his heart ripped out of his chest and axe murdered in his own home, the night after his best friend had his own heart ripped out and placed in a box. Tom (My Bloody Valentine) went on a killing spree and got both these boys. That was a pretty traumatic experience, especially to come back to life a week later from.

A few years later Claudio and Trauma were caught up in a riot, and while trying to get the two of them somewhere safe, Claudio got hit by a bullet while his powers were being Voided out (removed due to anothers power). He died slowly while Trauma tried to keep him awake. He made Trauma promise not to worry too much, and that when the Core brought him back he’d come right home.

I might note that Valentines day is a really shitty holiday for these two (Trauma, being his boyfriend now), not because of romance and chocolate but because they have both had horrific experiences around the holidays, generally one or the other of them had died. The last Valentine's day they spent together ended up win getting gassed, kidnapped and left in a “horror House” which is a sick, sick game to some people, who lock others with powers into a house of horrible deaths and make them try to get out alive by killing others. When Trauma died, his powers kicked in again and helped revive the other, to which they both managed to make it out ‘alive’ after that.

Speaking of powers, he’s had several milestones with his powers showing up, which should be mentioned. He can not only turn invisible and intangible, but he can do many other things (see powers for a list) that have slowly shown up in game. In his canon he gets all these powers sometime between the ten year gap, so it’s all canon, just slowly added in over time. He’s had a hard time with them showing up and he doesn’t have the best of control, but others have helped him through it.

This also came with the Visions he was already getting, which only come in visions of his OWN home and are completely useless to him anywhere else. And with the visions was his fathers Voice, which later moved to seeing his father actually standing there. In canon, as Claudio got older his father used to trail him around, as a Ghost, or a Spirit, or the boys conscious, we’re not sure, but he seemed to have his own way of talking and could tell Claudio things that Claudio didn’t know. His father pops up and keeps trying to encourage him to come back home and fulfill his destiny. Because of this for the longest time Claudio thought he was actually CRAZY. This bothered him for the longest time and he would hide it from others. Only once in a while his father could be so annoying he’d slip and yell at him, which looks like he’s talking to himself for the most part and really does look crazy.

Other life changing things that have happened to him while in this city? Terence “Trauma” Ward, Jinx, Gabriel the Angel, Red X (Marvel, DC:TT, Supernatural, DC). These people became his new family. Jinx married Gabriel and that was pretty odd, but he’s okay with it now. At first he really hated the guy for swooping in and stealing Jinx, but now he just kind of thinks it was all for the better. He’d have been miserable if he settled in with Jinx as more than friends. They share a sibling relationship now. When Jinx was pregnant with Odette he was pretty excited for her and was intending to be that Proud Uncle kind of guy, actually very willing to help take care of a kid if they needed. After all, he helped take care of the Twins (his siblings) once in a while. When Jinx miscarried and lost the baby however the entire house went down a dark hole for a while. He’s always been very careful about what he says about children, kids, or Odette in general. It’s not something he likes to talk about much.

As for Trauma? He went from being his best friend for years to somehow being his boyfriend at some undefined turn of events. With Trauma he’s the most emotional and most connected to. With Trauma he’s a hell of a lot more stable in life than before. He’s more willing to try to be good as well. Trauma is actually his everything at this point. If something were to happen to him he will drop everything and fight to make sure the other is safe or bought back.

There was that one short while when his Mother appeared in the City. Cambria showed up and he thought he was going insane again. First his father is around him constantly, and now his mother was on the network? Thankfully she was really there and others were able to see her. Because of her appearance Claudio was able to learn a LOT of truths he didn’t know about by coming to the City. She filled him in on why they killed his siblings, why they had been fighting and why they died. How they died even. This helped him a LOT with his past, though it made other questions come up as well. Sadly his mother didn’t stay long and he has major regrets about being mad at her while she was there.

In short, he’s grown a bit in four years. He’s a lot more responsible and capable. His powers have grown and he hates them. He knows his past and doesn’t want to BE the Crowing, so he tries not to. He’s very happy with his new family and though the city is Dark and Unfriendly he can handle all of it as long as he has his family there. It’s simply that simple for him. At the end of the Game there was a choice to stay or leave, either returning home on his own, or return to someone elses home and timeline with them. The group as a whole all came from pretty shitty timelines and decided that this City WAS home. Staying there was their choice, thus staying rooted in the city of Darkness while others packed up and left.

I understand this is a lot of generalization but if I were to write out his entire history this could get really big. For more information though, please ask. I can ramble on for a while if needed.

Personality:
Claudio is a bit of an emotional kind of guy. He’s a softie, as hard as he tries to be, small things get to him pretty easy. He’s a bit standoffish at first, but once you get in through his defences he’s the most loyal friend you could have. He’s a hard worker for a lazy kind of boy. A bit adventurous, fun loving and though he doesn’t like crowds he enjoys being in group events and parties. He doesn’t like bullies and will fight against them if he can. He’s got a bit of a hero complex when it comes to others and a sacrificers complex when it comes to himself.

He tends to be kind of resourceful when left on his own. In canon we see him gathering things he needs to survive without thinking about it much. In Sirens Port he did the same, getting food, clothing and shelter pretty fast. Making friends with the right people at first, in order to stay alive. after he got established there it didn’t take long for him to find his ‘exists’ anywhere he went. As in he knew the lay of the land. he know the streets and subways and isn’t afraid to go invisible and sneak around in private places. Once he has been to one location he pretty much remembers where things are.

Claudio isn’t much on fighting though. He doesn’t like weapons, even though he has one. The Neverender is more of a security blanket, one that he keeps tucked into his backpack of bag while he’s out in the city, mostly as a backup plan in case powers are on the fritz. He’s only ever used it once however and even then isn’t a fan. He’s been in one too many bar fights and riots, but when those happen he generally wants to sneak off as fast as possible (expect a few drunken fights that he started, whoops). So no, not a fighter. Not at all. He’s pretty bad at it actually. His powers are great for both defence and offence however, but he tends to not use them for more than defencive reasons.

Friends and family are very important to him. The most important thing actually. Sometimes the line between friend and family is blurred, like in the case of the family he made back in Siren’s Port. The people he was closest too were just as much of family as his own blood brothers and sisters. He’s very loyal to people who get close to him, to the point that he would even kill for them. Betray him however and he gets very ‘beaten puppy’ around them. Or about them. He doesn’t heal well from betrayal.

He does NOT like being alone. Even after all these years with people around and a city of friends and problems, and as often as he plays loner, he hates being alone. Even if he’s not talking to a person and they’re just sitting in the same room, it doesn’t matter, so long as he’s not alone. It’s a bit of a dependent thing.

Some general likes: He loves to draw. He enjoys cats, robotic dogs and small creatures that take up life in the back refrigerator while snacking on bad chinese. He likes coffee and bubble gum and the smell of fresh pencil shavings. He liked taking the curly shavings of his pencils and wrapping them around his fingers, wiggling them at his now dead twin siblings when they were young. He wasn’t very good at sports and didn’t care much for them, but he didn’t mind watching the school track team. He chews on the end of things when concentrating too hard or studying for too long. He laughs a bit too loud when around friends and feeling safe, but chuckles under his breath when around others he doesn’t know. He loves normal things in his very unnormal world. He likes watching Terry play his guitar, even if Terry can’t see him doing it. He likes the reaction and look on Jinx’s face when he draws her a unicorn just for her. He likes the ridiculous puns and jokes his brother-in-law Gabriel tells, even if they are horrific.

While living in Siren’s Port he grew up a LOT. Where he used to be more closed off to people and more self contained, he’s now more into fighting for other people, helping others and getting his hands dirty if he needs to. He’s willing to jump into trouble swiftly. He’s less childish, in some ways, though still young in mind and spirit. He’s not scared to use most of his powers, though some of them he really hates.

He still hasn’t grown an interest in weapons or anything but he’s pretty sure he’d know how to use one if he needed to. With the darkness out at night he’s gotten more careful, more guarded, smarter. A survivalist and street smart guy now. He’s picked up a lot of habits to keep on living. That’s what the city has done for him. Made him tougher and hardened his skin a bit. To the point that he’s not surprised by the monsters in the dark or the horror of death anymore.

Does your character have any close ties to existing canon characters?
His close ties are all from characters he has met in game and none of which are in this game as of current (Other than Trauma, which the mun and have talked to each other about, clearly :D).
People and Canons he knows about:
- Marvel 616 - Trauma Ward, Jubilee, Erik Lensherr
Trauma is his best and closest friend turned lover. They’ve been through a hell of a lot and he’s willing to do anything for Terry. The player is/has apped into the game with Terry, to which Claudio is going to be really glad to see him.
Jubilee is the first person he ran into in this place and is his replacement for his older sister, or basically. She and he used to get into trouble all the time. He helped her and Erik build a safe haven for Newcomers. She fondly called it the House of Awesome.
Erik Lensherr (older) (Going by Michael at the time) was more of a father figure to the boy then his own father. Problems with powers or people? He could talk to Erik. Need somewhere to escape or hide? Go to Erik’s place.

- DC Teen Titans - Jinx
Jinx was another person that ended up being more like a sister than anything else. She’s strong and loud and gets what she wants and Claudio tended to give in and give it to her. She and he had a small fling like... once. Which might have been an awkward mistake really, but right after she and Gabriel together. That was awkward. Still like Trauma, he’d do anything for her.

- Supernatural - Gabriel
Gabriel the Angel and his sort of brother-in-law. At first he hated the guy. He was cheesey and a jerk and stole Jinx. Now? So glad he did. And he really enjoys him, even if he is an ass half the time. The Angel Mojo is good for a pinch too.

See Outdated CR chart for others: http://thecrowingtobe.dreamwidth.org/1046.html Most of which can be glossed over with ease or ignored if the player would like! The more connected ones are the ones I named above.

Why do you think your character would work in this setting?
He’ll be coming in unwillingly, much like Trauma had. Fluxing in from port to here. Most likely he’ll assume it’s the Core’s fault, as rule number one is, blame the Core for everything. He will NOT like it, at first, because this is yet again another new place he didn’t want to be in, but once he realizes that Trauma is here, he won't care anymore. He’ll want the rest of the family to be here, but as long as the other is here he will be alright. He might even like it. Being able to be outside at night will be amazing again.

As for if he’d stay? He will if Trauma stays. And if Trauma disappears on him again, he might still stay, unless he can get home to check for the other. Honestly, this place is a lot nicer then the Port, and he can do some good here. He’s into engineering. He’d be great on working on, well, anything. His powers and the fact that he’s a child of two IRObots helps.

What will your character do for work?
He’s completely into engineering, robotics, mechanics, auto repair, and any other thing that has to do with machines! He can find work really easy here in also any department that needs manual labor. He tends to be a lazy guy but a hard worker. Also an artist. If given the chance he will paint murals in places if it was okay.

Inventory:
He’d have his general attire on him, (jeans, shirts, hoodie), as well as his messenger bag (art book, pens, pencils, Network Device (NV), the Neverender (energy weapon) and some other odds and ends).

I’d like to ask if it would be possible for him to have Owen with him? Owen is a robotic dalmatian dog that he built. He could rebuild him, but he’s kind of sentimental to the boys. If he’s Fluxed in while he’s got the dog leashed with him, would that work? If not, is there a way to get him here later?

Samples:
Third-Person Sample:
Claudio is no stranger to new places like this. He knows about 78 planets back home that were all styles of strange (though he never got to see them all) and he knows the Port from which he spent the last four years. That was weird. That was real weird.

This? This wasn't so weird. He'd fluxed in and had been there long enough to be pointed in the right direction by some helpful people, processed and confused by what the hell they were talking about. Then he was directed to where he could stay until they figured out what the hell to do with him. Until they figured out where his... home was. Problem was, he didn't want to go 'home' to the wrong place (The wrong place meant disaster, the Crowing, choices he didn’t want to make, death of all or none). He wanted to go back to Port (The Port, home, family, monsters at night but he was used to it, and terry). Back to his new family. He didn’t want to be here alone. He didn’t do alone well.

They said they could, with some time. He'd have to settle in for a bit is all. They could find his home though, the one he wanted to go to that is.

It wasn't too hard to settle into a new place. It didn’t feel weird or anything even. As stated before, he's used to this by now. Weird things.

What he's not used to is standing in the middle of a open space, at night, looking up into the sky, and not having to worry about horrifying creatures trying to attack. Not worrying about monsters or murderers. This was peaceful. The sky was awesome. The smell was amazing. This place wasn't so bad, if only it had the rest of his family here too. Maybe after they find his way home he can bring the others here.

You can find Claudio, new and unsure, standing in the middle of... well, where ever, staring up into the sky.

First-Person Sample:
My In Box from the previous game is FULL of comments as well as actions. This one I am linking if of Claudio and Trauma talking. Claudio has done something stupid with a group of people and his name got in the paper again. It goes from how he talks in Text to in person actions and voice. I feel it’s a fairly good description of how he talks and acts. If a new sample is needed i can whip one up as well.
