[Trauma looks up over his shoulder as Claudio only just stops himself from making some snarky comment at the first part, and seeing Claudio is serious he looks back down at the floor while he listens. It's a damn good thing he does too, because when it finally clicks in his head, all the little bits of things that add up to one big fucking problem that makes his eyes go wide and he stares at the far wall trying to figure out what the fuck to do.

From what he's put together, Claudio is apparently hearing things.

That's either a sign of some freaky new thing going on, or something is wrong. Problem was, with their luck you could pretty much bet on it being the latter.

He manages to keep the moment of freaking out to himself, and sighs again, before moving up next to Claudio on the couch.]

That's...Not going to happen.

[Yeah, okay, it freaked him out a little, yeah. It was good he didn't see the boys face because that type of face was a good OhShit sign he didn't need to see. He already felt like there was something seriously wrong with him.]

How do you know? What if it's something just... wrong with my brain or something? [he sat, staring at the space that Trauma just left, staring at the floor with a little blank look.]

What if I'm mental. I mean, back home I used to have these weird... I donno, things where I would see it so clearly I could draw it. Like dreams? But I was always asleep. I didn't talk to no one... I mean I don't talk to nothing now [a lie, really...] ... but still. It feels like my father is sitting there over my shoulder telling me shit.

[It was just one of those Crowing abilities he didn't know anything about, but it bugged the hell out of him.]

[Someone is late getting to work and doing that 'if I have to walk, I am going to talk to someone while doing it so I can bitch' thing.]

[Someone is being a lazy bastard today and chilling, invisible, on the apartment roof tops again. This means that he almost didn't answer the call right away. This means it rang a few times before he answered.]

The world is still in tact. It hasn't burned down yet. [Voice a bit slurred and lazy]

[Trauma raises an eyebrow, but of course that can't be seen even if it's just implied by his existence.]

But I'm going to get fired if I'm late like this all the time. Next time the snooze button sounds like a good idea, throw a shoe at me or something?

[This is Claudio. He will never answer the cell in a normal way again. Not with Trauma at least. He's pretty sure he saw the brow raise anyhow]

Does this mean I can get a glass of water to wake you up with if you hit snooze?

[Said like he doesn't care....but the threat is totally there.]

Where are you anyway, man? Didn't see you when I left.

[....Meaning he did the 'talks to air, gets nothing back, and assumes Dio's not there' thing.]

[He snorted at that] Yeah but I don't hit the snooze on my clock like you do.

[And a frown. This was the part where he was going to get told off... or he could lie?--hnnn] Roof. Wanted a bit of air. [Truth.]

You're lazy as shit when you don't want to get up.

[He makes sort of a noncommittal sound.]

Help me think up a good excuse for why I'm half an hour late.

Yeah... but my job doesn't suck as hard as yours does. Makes it easier. Half an hour doesn't seem so bad. Maybe tell em there was an issue on the subway or a bus or you got stuck between ah... siren and a hard place?

[Yeah, not helpful. Darkness as an excuse never works.]

I'm me. Public transport's not exactly on my buddies list. People know it.

[Heavy sigh]

I kind of hate this. I know most people hate their job, but I'm ready to start shooting planes at the bosses head till I get fired.

So... get fired. Why stay there anyhow? There has to be something better out there. You're getting better about being around people. Maybe you can find something... better? [He snorted, rolling his eyes] Tell him that you're late because you had to kill someone on your way in. You didn't want to show up with blood on your hands. They'll either leave you alone of freak out. Either way might be good, man.

[There's a beat, and Trauma laughs, that weird sound that happens when someone is laughing and trying very hard not to.]

Sorry, they wouldn't hurry up and die and, you know, Cheerleaders legs aren't going to saw themselves off...

[Good. He likes that sound.]

You know... [Claire... could do that, couldn't she?] Never mind. Where did cheerleaders come into this anyhow?

Actually wasn't as out of left field as it sounded. Comic. Funny, in the 'if you quote it you end up on the school watch list a little faster' kind of way.

School watch list? [He snorted] Do they let you know you're on that list or is it just a secret assumed list?

...It's this thing. Teachers get paranoid, they have a group of kids they keep an eye on.

You can guess if you're on it cause you get called in to the councilor's office a lot more than other people.

I might have been on one, if my school had one. I don't know. I never really liked school. Waste of time. [He only stayed cus... well he was pretty good in it, and his mom would have a fit... and Newo.]
